Coast, mountains, Holy Wells, ancient chapels and fairy glens.

St. Buenos Well

We start at Holywell in North Wales to visit St. Winifreds well. Still used as a healing shrine where people make pilgrimages today today, this is the most well known encased well in Wales . Hear the legend of how it came about. From there we walk to Basingwerk Abbey ruins and back to Holy Well. ( A circular walk performed by many pilgrims in years past on their way to or from St. Davids in West Wales. )

Walks then include:

Inland - St. Beunos well and monastery and the Holy Well of Fynnon Fair.

Coastal – one of the competitors for the tiniest chapel in Wales with a Holy Well actually inside it! And St. Tudnos chapel and Holy Well on the coastal walk around Llandudno. Stunning sea views

Walk up to Llangelynin Church in the Conway mountains, remote, mysterious and again with a Holy Well.

Followed by a walk to the fairy glen at Bettws-y-Coed with stories of the Little People and the Lady of the Lake .

This is a four day walk/talk trip.
