7. THE CASTLE, THE WOODS and THE LAKE WALK TALK - APRIL 11TH, 2009 at 2:00 PM
WALK TALK -MAY 23RD, 2009 at 2:00 PM
Price: £10
A circular walk (1/2 day) starting from the Island car park in Usk. This is a popular mostly flat walk route of less than five miles which takes an hour for the brisk walker. For us it will take longer as we stop and begin to see and hear stories of the mysteries that this walk holds. There is the dragon tree that guards the wood, the memorial guarded by the mysterious woman, the lake that some say can take you to Avalon, and the driad ( tree spirit ) that lives at the end of the wood. These are only some of the sites
encountered if you truly look and see.
